Hawaiian memories...

They all went to Hawaii, and bought this colorful dress, got it back to the mainland, and never did wear it.....

It's not unusual for vintage hawaiian dresses to be in absolutely mint condition...

1920's flowers in fabric and paper.....

The dress had stains running down the front (perhaps 1920's jello!?) but this wonderful Eco drycleaner in Buffalo (Eco Friendly Custom Cleaners) was able to get it out! I love them. I really do think that the eco dry-cleaning process is the best for vintage clothing. It seems to be gentler for the fabric, as it is on the environment.

with my love for vintage clothing, naturally comes that hot spot in my heart for vintage wallpaper. this was put together from circa 1952 wallpaper borders. perhaps I have a little attraction to stripes, as well...

with this type of coat in the 1950's, the coats' collars were mostly remade . they seam-ripped the collar out and moved it lower and added fur to it . the only one in this group that was manufactured with the collar, is in the upper right . re-use!

vintz and i are creating a vintage clothing website so people can get really cool pieces and recycle them out into the world again. to give them new homes and new lives...
