Alfred Shaheen: Hawaiian Mystique

Alfred Shaheen was one of the most creative and prolific Hawaiian designers/manufacturers of Hawaiian clothing in the 20th century. He built his garment dynasty in Hawaii by training native Hawaiians in the art of silk screening and clothing design and by producing his own fabric designs and clothing lines for men and women.

His designs were inspired by his love for Hawaii, the South Pacific and Asia. One only has to pick up one of his creations to see his love and dedication to the art.
